Audit Operations Support (f/m/d)
Location: Berlin

A leading tech company with a full German banking license is seeking an Audit Operations Support professional to join their team. 

About the Role:
The Audit Operations Support role will focus on enhancing the efficiency of the Internal Audit function. Reporting to the Head of Audit Operations, you will streamline processes, set up reports, ensure data accuracy, optimise audit processes, and support the implementation of internal audit standards. The position aims to reduce administrative burdens and drive long-term process improvements within the audit function.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support for Internal Audit activities, including PMO tasks, external audit report analysis, and coordination of the work plan.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, analyses, and evaluations to support decision-making within Internal Audit.
  • Support follow-up actions on internal and external audit findings.
  • Contribute to developing and enhancing auditing methods and restructuring audit processes.
  • Maintain and improve audit software tools and issue-processing systems (e.g., Jira).
  • Ensure data accuracy and maintain organized, structured documentation.
  • Support process improvements and system implementations within the audit function.
  • Assist in communication with regulatory authorities when required.

Your Profile:

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience, ideally in internal audit, consulting, or project management.
  • Experience with audit software, issue-processing systems, and data management tools (advanced Excel skills are a strong plus).
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Experience in project management, procedure writing, or system improvements is a plus.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations (e.g., AML, MaRisk) is advantageous.
  • Tech-savvy with an aptitude for optimizing workflows using digital tools.
  • Good German language skills (minimum B1 level) for communication with regulators.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and assert boundaries when necessary.
  • Open communication style with a solution-oriented and critical mindset.
  • Proficiency in English to collaborate effectively within an international team.

Location:

  • Ideally based in Berlin, with flexibility for other cities.
