About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Compensation and Benefits Specialist who thrives on data-driven decision-making and has a passion for developing competitive compensation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development: Design and implement a compensation and benefits strategy that is competitive, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.

Advisory Role: Provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership regarding compensation and benefits trends, backed by comprehensive data analysis.

Cycle Management: Oversee regular compensation cycles, including budgeting, salary adjustments, bonuses, and equity distributions.

Equity Management: Administer the equity management platform (Shareworks) and spearhead equity management initiatives to ensure fair and competitive compensation practices.

Job Mapping: Conduct job mapping and evaluation to clearly define roles, responsibilities, and the value of positions within the organization.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine compensation policies that support business transformation while adhering to regulatory standards.

Compliance Assurance: Ensure all practices comply with German and European regulations, including KWG (Kreditwesengesetz), IVV (Institutsvergütungsverordnung), and EU regulatory frameworks.

Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a compensation and benefits role within the EMEA region, preferably in banking or financial services.

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong background in a highly regulated environment with hands-on experience in developing compliant policies and procedures.

Analytical Skills: Proven experience in reporting, building compensation models, conducting analyses, and performing salary benchmarking.

Legal Acumen: In-depth knowledge of German and European compensation laws, particularly those relevant to the banking sector.

Equity Management: Familiarity with equity management tools and practices.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, HR reporting tools, and data analytics visualization tools is a plus.

Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and German.
