The Company:

A leading international payments company with a global presence. This company specialises in payments hardware and terminals: they are dedicated to redefining the landscape of secure and future-proof payment solutions.

 

The role:

Our client is seeking a Country Manager, Brazil. The role will be responsible for establishing a presence in this key region of LATAM to spearhead growth and drive revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote value propositions and expand business opportunities with key players in the financial services sector, including banks, acquirers, processors, and fintech companies.

  • Manage customer engagements, drive business development, oversee account management, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Set sales and business objectives, develop future strategies, and align them with overall company goals.

  • Lead and oversee operations in Brazil, ensuring end-to-end (E2E) execution and operational efficiency.

  • Provide top-notch sales and operational support to designated sectors, ensuring alignment with market needs.

  • Monitor key market developments, product launches, and customer requirements to inform product roadmap and broader strategic initiatives.

  • Focus on cultivating strong relationships with customers and partners, driving market development to enhance the company’s market presence.

  • Establish and maintain a complete E2E structure to meet customer demands within the market.

  • Maintain strong relationships with key accounts through regular visits, understanding specific needs, and identifying new opportunities.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to increase market share, expand the company’s footprint, and achieve sales targets.

  • Own the country-level P&L, driving and exceeding annual sales targets within assigned territories and accounts.

  • Effectively position the brand, communicate value propositions through proposals and presentations, and partner with customers to understand their business objectives.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 15 years of senior-level experience in the payment industry (banks, retailers, or manufacturers) with a focus on commercial, relationship, or business development roles and extensive customer-facing experience.

  • Significant experience in the financial or payment industry, particularly in senior roles within technology-driven environments.

  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and highly organized with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Proven track record in business growth and solution selling.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills at all organizational levels, including executive and C-level.

  • Demonstrable experience in leading organizations, developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.

  • Self-starter with a proactive approach, capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Experience working in a multicultural business environment and/or in an international/global sales role.

  • Willingness to travel periodically, both nationally and internationally.

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Economics, or Engineering.

  • Preferred: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or MSc in Business/Economics.
