We are searching for a Director of Risk and Payments for a Berlin based Fintech/Payments Company in the BNPL space.
Responsibilities:
- Management of the complete operational area for fraud, credit, and merchant risk of our BuyNowPayLater platform.
- Design and deliver risk assessment and mitigation strategies to deliver actionable intelligence on emerging risks and new product initiatives.
- Proactively engage with leadership in Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Finance to effectively steer and optimize our buy now pay later Platform and to influence product design.
- Implementation of a bad debt controls strategy that underpins the fraud and credit risk vision of leveraging internal data as well as using external data from multiple vendors.
- Represent risk management programs during examination and audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate response to inquiries
Your profile:
- Background within E-commerce, Payments/Fintech, or other relevant industries
- At least 10 years of experience working within the risk domain with a particular focus on: Fraud, Credit, Merchant and Consumer Risk
- Strong stakeholder management skills and a proactive business mindset
- Experience managing large teams and overseeing a whole department
- You act in a solution oriented and transparent manner, and your way of thinking is cross departmental
- Fluent in English, German is a plus but not a prerequisite
