Key Responsibilities

Policy Development & Compliance: Develop, monitor, and enforce HR policies to ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards. Conduct regular compliance reviews to identify potential risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and implement necessary changes.

Governance Standards: Embed governance practices across all HR operations, ensuring consistent alignment with broader compliance and risk management frameworks.

Audit Preparation & Coordination: Lead all phases of HR audit processes, including documentation, team readiness, and response to audit inquiries. Coordinate effectively with relevant departments to ensure smooth audits.

Resolution of Audit Findings: Implement corrective actions to address audit findings, track progress to completion, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues.

Compliance Training: Deliver thorough compliance training for the HR team to foster a strong culture of adherence to regulatory and governance requirements.

Audit Communication: Act as the main point of contact for audit-related inquiries and requests, facilitating collaboration between HR, Legal, Compliance, and Audit teams.
Scope of Role
The HR Compliance and Governance Manager may be required to perform additional tasks independently or as directed, beyond those listed above.
Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Compliance, or related field.

Strong understanding of German labor laws and regulatory frameworks, such as the Works Constitution Act, Data Protection Act, GDPR, and relevant financial supervision guidelines.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR compliance or governance, preferably in the financial or fintech sectors.

Fluent in both German and English.

Proficiency in data management and audit processes.
