Job Purpose

To provide a customer focused HR Advisory Service to managers and employees on all HR initiatives and issues including employee relations, employment law, recruitment, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, discipline and grievance.  Particular focus on France, Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal.

 

 

Main Objectives & Activities

Compensation and Benefits and Legal Requirements

  • Advise and support the HRD and wider business on whether our compensation and benefits are legally compliant and competitive
  • Advise and support the HRD and wider business on whether our terms and conditions in each of our regional office are legally compliant
  • Ensure contracts are up to date, liaising with local labor advisory offices for advice

 

Payroll Administration & Reporting

  • Administer payroll including the collation, submission and reconciliation on the monthly payroll
  • In liaison with labor advisory service ensure pensions are registered accurately

 

Employee Relations

  • Advise and support managers in the area of employee relations
  • Provide first line support to help managers manage HR issues
  • Continually review and update policies and procedures in line with legislative requirement

 

Recruitment

  • Support the recruitment process across the business
  • Create and manage new starter documentation
  • Complete exit interviews

 

Ad Hoc Duties

  • Undertake HR administration duties maintaining a high level of confidentiality and accuracy at all times
  • Participate in any HR projects

 

 

 

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous generalist HR experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years)
  • Detailed knowledge of at least 2 countries from an HR perspective (France/Spain/Italy/Portugal/Greece)
  • Strong organisational skills and proven ability to work with high degree of accuracy within a deadline driven and changing environment, using initiative to make decisions and in sometimes stressful situations
  • Diplomatic and able to handle confidential issues
  • Professional, clear and confident verbal communication skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • High energy with the ability to multi task and prioritise as appropriate
  • Excellent IT skills using Microsoft Office
  • Excellent English language skills and at least one other language out of French, Italian, Spanish
