Legal Counsel
For our client, one of Europe’s leading companies in the payments and transactional services industry, we are looking for a Legal Counsel. Our client’s global scope and commitment to innovation enable them to solve technological challenges for industrial companies, banks, merchants and government agencies in all sectors.
The Job
As Legal Counsel you will be responsible for drafting, structuring, reviewing and legal analysis of a wide range of contracts in collaboration with/ for customers, payment schemes, payment industry partners, etc.
Day-to-Day

Provide legal advice to all internal divisions with special emphasis on payments

Advising on geo-expansion of the business

Liaising and coordination with external stakeholders

Monitoring the intra-group litigation report

Legal research and interpretation of Dutch laws and regulations

Provide information on updates of the delegation of authority and signatory power

Focus on the production and defence of the legal entities in the Netherlands
Required Skills

Dutch law degree
-
Interest in compliance, EU regulation and financial services
-
4+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house equivalent
-
Business oriented, considering the big picture
-
High level of communication skills
-
Natural time-manager, with the ability to prioritise task and over achieve

Able to excel in a team environment

Fluency in written and spoken English

Knowledge of the payment space is a plus
