Risk Products Project Manager

 

For one of our biggest international clients in the payment sector, we are looking for a Risk Products Project Manager

 

The Job

 

As the Risk Products Project Manager, you will work in a team reporting to the Risk Products and Value-Added Lead within the 1st Line of Risk. The main task for you and the team is to manage the whole department’s tooling, identify improvement opportunities, identify new revenue streams, and optimize processes to cut costs. As our client is keen on continuing to acquire new companies, you should be flexible, adaptable with your thoughts, and able to navigate complexity.

 

Day-to-Day

 

  • Draw up effective project plans under the guidance of the management

  • Closely collaborate with stakeholders and management to define the scope, requirements, and milestones of the project

  • Ensure the progress is tracked regularly and is visible to the management positions

  • Identify, manage (and if necessary, spearhead solving) dependencies, bottlenecks, and critical items

  • Ensure that contingency plans can be put in action swiftly in case of blockers or deal breakers

  • Manage relationships and expectations with internal and external stakeholders

  • Establish yourself as the go-to person for the assigned project

  • Ensure that projects are finalized by the deadline established (or negotiate new deadlines presenting relevant reasons)

  • Carry out post-project reviews with stakeholders

 

Required Skills

 

  • At least three years of practical experience as a Project Manager or similar in banking or financial institutions (preferably with a high degree of complexity)

  • Basic knowledge of Fraud in a banking/acquiring/payment institution environment

  • Basic knowledge of KYC (CDD/ODD) regulations and procedures

  • Good understanding of data analysis and SQL language

  • Excel and PowerPoint skills are a necessity 

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to tailor it to a specific audience

  • Fluency in the English language
