Our client is a leading provider in the Open Banking infrastructure space, enabling businesses and consumers to leverage the benefits of Open Finance. Their API platform facilitates secure and seamless access to financial data, driving innovation and enhancing customer experiences across Europe. They collaborate with various industries, including financial services, fintech, and e-commerce, to unlock new revenue streams and optimize financial processes.
They are seeking a Sales Director for the EU region to lead their expansion efforts across Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing sales team in a player/coach capacity. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of the financial technology landscape, strong leadership abilities, and a proven history of meeting sales targets in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the sales process from lead generation to closure, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand our presence across Europe.
- Mentor and manage a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of sales initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes in the EU to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to the executive team, ensuring transparency and accountability in sales performance.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in sales leadership, particularly in financial technology, SaaS, or related industries. Experience in an early-stage or scale-up tech company is advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, managing sales teams, and building strategic partnerships.
- Strong understanding of the Open Banking and financial technology landscape in Europe, with a well-established network of industry contacts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on mentoring and talent development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus.
