Sales Specialist – Payment ServicesÂ

The company's platform is presently dedicated to serving the cruise hospitality market, but there is potential to expand to other similar industries. The Job
As a Sales Specialist (remotely in the EU, UK, or US), you will be responsible for achieving new business targets by maintaining a sales pipeline and plan. Your main objective will be to engage potential customers, understand their needs, and propose suitable solutions. You will work closely with decision-makers, leading the preparation of long-term sales plans based on customer feedback. Additionally, you'll play a vital role in influencing client strategy and awareness of managed service alternatives while promoting and selling products and services through various channels. Your expertise will help shape the overall product and technology strategy for our client, ensuring the company's growth and success in the market.
Day-to-Day

Take responsibility for generating new business revenue, aligning with the company's strategy

Stay well-informed about the market and identify emerging sales opportunities

Establish extensive networks with customers and partners

Collaborate with the Payments Architect to achieve optimal solution outcomes for both customers and our client

Create service and pricing proposals with input from various departments

Follow existing procedures or guidelines and contribute inputs to influence decisions in relevant areas

Oversee new business acquisitions through contract signing, client onboarding, and ensuring customer success

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the service catalogue and update it regularly with new functionalities

Act as a strong advocate for understanding the evolving needs of new customers and representing the voice of the market

Influence the overall technology product/stack, Go-To-Market strategy, roadmap, and analytics reporting based on customer perspectives.
Required SkillsÂ

7+ years of experience in Sales or Solution Sales within the payment acceptance, payment gateway, merchant acquiring, or merchant services industry.

Familiarity with the sales process and a track record of sourcing business while collaborating with Payments Architect, Product, and Delivery teams.

Expertise in merchant payment environments within the travel and hospitality sector.

Demonstrated ability to engage with customers, understand their payment needs, analyse payment technology ecosystems, and align with strategic objectives.

Proven history of achieving new business targets and a strong dedication to resolving merchant payment issues.

Sound understanding of enterprise buying behaviours among leading industry brands, including internal budgeting, funding, and approval processes within client organisations.

Knowledge and comprehension of payment acceptance

Skill in making connections and building meaningful relationships at various levels within client and partner organisations.

Detail-oriented with a proven ability to comprehend and address client problems effectively.

Prior experience in achieving client objectives and company financial goals by understanding client objectives and guiding internal supporting functions.
