Their Netherlands team is currently seeking a talented Senior Azure Data Engineer to optimise data solutions on Azure, ensuring data security, integration, and performance, while collaborating with stakeholders to meet business needs. With over 1,000 Azure engagements and a clientele that spans Fortune 500 companies, their Microsoft Business Unit stands out for its extensive experience and global impact.
Responsibilities as a Senior Azure Data Engineer:
As a Senior Azure Data Engineer, your day-to-day tasks will contain:
- Design and implement scalable data storage and processing solutions using Azure services
- Develop, optimise, and manage data pipelines for ETL processes, ensuring data quality and consistency
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry regulations through robust security measures and governance practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide data solutions that support business objectives
- Automate and continuously improve data workflows, leveraging Azure DevOps for CI/CD and adopting new Azure features
Qualifications/Required Skills for an ideal Senior Azure Data Engineer:
An ideal candidate for the Senior Azure Data Engineer role will need to meet most of these requirements:
- Extensive experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake
- Strong proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and SQL
- In-depth knowledge of data security practices and compliance standards
- Proven ability to optimise data performance and troubleshoot complex data issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch (C1) and Business English (C1)
