Senior Business Development – Banking/Lending


For our client, a European open banking platform, we are looking for a Senior Business Development Manager – Banking/Lending based in London to join the London team. You will be able to work in a hybrid remote setup.


The Job


As Senior Business Development Manager – Banking/Lending you will be a crucial part of the BD team, helping with the design and execution of the team’s sales and growth strategy. Furthermore, you will establish and nurture customer relationships in the UK and IE. You will establish yourself as the go-to person when it comes to open banking, challenging, guiding and leading the client’s transformation.




  • Establish a customer portfolio by driving sales activities in the UK
  • Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor to leading financial institutions and FinTech companies
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential customers and turn them into representatives
  • Lead workshops and meetings with key customers to identify customer needs and match them with offerings
  • Plan and drive the sales process from initial contact all the way to signature
  • Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the region and drive successful marketing projects
  • Represent the company at conferences and other public speaking events


Required Skills


  • A University degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance or Engineering
  • Hands-on experience selling directly to key stakeholders at banks or Fintechs
  • Experience selling deeply integrated solutions that support the delivery of technology
  • Proven knowledge in managing contract negotiations
  • Previous experience of working in a high-growth company
  • Strong people skills and ability to manage stakeholders on all levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
  • Personal attributes: entrepreneurial and gets things done, likes to find innovative, smart solutions to new problems, pragmatic and solution-oriented, strong collaborator
