With a full banking license, the company provides a Banking-as-a-Service platform that enables businesses to integrate financial products through APIs. The company values diverse perspectives, knowledge-sharing, and professional development.

Your Role

As a Senior IT Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting audits of IT banking processes and ensuring compliance with key regulatory frameworks, such as BAIT and ISO standards (e.g., 27001). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing audit function and play a role in shaping its impact within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently plan and conduct IT audits, draft audit reports, and coordinate findings with business units.
  • Assess and enhance the internal control system, compliance processes, security, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct independent reviews of internal and external audit findings as part of the follow-up process.
  • Provide support for internal projects related to MaRisk, BAIT, and KWG.
  • Contribute to the development of auditing methodologies and best practices.

What We’re Looking For

We prioritize personal and professional development over job titles. Based on your experience, we’ll align the scope of your role with your strengths and career aspirations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in IT audit, with expertise in MaRisk, BAIT, IT-Grundschutz, or ISO 2700X.
  • Educational background in IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with audit methodologies (ToD and ToE).
  • Solid understanding of key processes, including BCM, incident/problem management, cloud infrastructure, outsourcing, software development/testing, and authorization management.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong decision-making skills, teamwork ability, and a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a strong plus).

What’s Offered

  • Remote-friendly working environment.
  • Home office budget for a comfortable setup.
  • Learning & Development budget to support career growth.
  • Clear career progression framework.
  • Competitive salary aligned with experience.
