Our client offers a car subscription platform whose mission is to give their clients more freedom to drive anywhere, anytime. This is done through car subscriptions.
They started working on their mission by radically improving the informal peer-to-peer rental model that currently dominates ride-hailing in emerging markets. Their focus has now evolved beyond the ride-hailing world, and expanded their offering to private users who seek a mobility solution.
Role Overview
With the role of a Senior Product Manager, our client is looking for an addition to their product team which currently consists of the Head of Product, a Product Manager and a Product Designer. With you, as the second Product Manager being on board, the team will be split into two separate Product teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the CTO and Head of Product to develop the product development strategy and drive prioritization and execution
- Ensure smooth implementation of the strategy and adjust where needed together with the Head of Product
- Use qualitative and quantitative research to understand user needs and market opportunities
- Translate user and business needs into a compelling quarterly roadmap for your team
- Work closely with the Product Designer and Tech Lead to define new features, create user stories and lead a dedicated team of developers to deliver optimal results
- Work closely with other internal teams such as marketing and operations to ensure successful product releases
- Monitor product analytics and proactively take action to reach and maintain them at required levels
- Take an active part in coaching other PMs and helping them grow
Ideal Skill Set
- 5+ years experience as a Product Manager/Product Owner for a consumer-facing product
- 1+ years of experience in working in a startup environment
- Prior experience working very closely with Product Designers and developers to take new features from ideation through launch and iteration
- Prior experience with managing a backlog, writing user stories, running sprint planning, retrospectives and other aspects of scrum workflow
- Strategic skills: You go beyond day-to-day execution to develop product strategy and develop a compelling value proposition for your target audience
- Strong communicator and leader: You communicate ideas clearly and inspire your team to set ambitious goals and deliver high-quality results
- Customer-centric mindset: You identify non-obvious customer needs through research, and turn these into well-defined problems for your team to tackle
- Can-do mentality: You are a self-starter with a can-do mentality.
- Analytical skills: You have a proven ability to explore data and make data informed decisions
- Last but not least: You excel at prioritizing what matters the most for the business and users
