Service Manager with focus on Business Analysis | B2B Operations | Payments (f/m/d) in Hamburg  

Our client is currently developing one of the most important fields in e-commerce – the future of payment management – directly in its campus in Hamburg. They are in the middle of development of an independent group subsidiary from 1.9.2021. So come on board and help them shape the future of payment management in e-commerce! 

In the area of conflict between customers, merchants, regulations, and a multitude of new solutions, our client continues to develop the topic of payments and invest in new technologies and digital products. In the target image, they bundles and control all payment activities for the the mother-companies marketplace as well as for other companies in order to offer a future-oriented and flexible customer-oriented payment process and to secure our competitiveness. 

Support our client in the development of one of the most important fields in e-commerce – the future of payment management. 

As the back office division, Operations is responsible for the operational handling of the payment company's processes and supports the product teams, particularly in the implementation of regulatory requirements. 

B2B Operations is responsible for the partner part of the operational business including the design of all operational processes. Our client is currently building up the B2B Operations department and expect it to be a 10-person team.

What awaits you: 

You are responsible for the creation of regulatory and technical specifications in B2B processing. You document the developed specifications in manuals and work instructions and also ensure the correctness, effectiveness and compliance. 

You have the sustainable task of ensuring compliance with the specifications on a permanent basis and carrying out the necessary checks on a regular basis: 

Qualitative review of compliance with all work instructions (random sampling at least 2 times a year) 

Establishment of a professional monitoring system for the most efficient and semi-automated monitoring of manual procedures 

You provide technical support for special evaluations for legal assessments and for relevant compliance, complaint management and GWG requirements. 

Together with the respective SPOC (Single Point of Contact) you are responsible for the integration of products of external service providers into the B2B processing and for this purpose – as far as necessary – you are involved in procedural as well as technical issues with these service providers. 

You support the assignment and maintenance of roles and rights management. 

You are involved in the conceptual development of the emergency and complaint management. 

If required, you will prepare analyses and evaluations on the topics entrusted to you. In this context, you are also the contact person and responsible for the preparation of statistics and evaluations that have to be provided for reporting to BaFin. 

You prepare reports for management with regard to operational/analytical fraud/anomaly detection, monitoring of processing and quality improvement. 

In addition, you provide important evaluations for the regularly scheduled audits. 

What you should bring with you: 

A degree in economics, natural sciences, or mathematics, or a comparable education. 

Professional experience in the field of operations at payment service providers, credit or financial institutions or in a comparable environment 

Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a self-reliant and independent way of working 

High level of initiative, creative drive and enjoyment in developing future-proof solutions 

Essential software skills: SQL, Excel and Tableau 

Fluent in English and German, as parts of the project and the technical documentation are in English
