Celebrating the first anniversary of our Traineeship Program

This week was a special one at our Amsterdam office, as while our first grads were celebrating their one-year anniversary, our Head of People & Operations, and the driving force behind the program, Yan, was marking two fantastic years at the company!

To mark the occasion, we chatted with the traineeship program graduates about their first year at PCN.

What have you learned throughout your traineeship?

Tafara:  I’ve learned so much, not only about recruitment but about myself as well. It has definitely been a growing experience.

Kevin: Coming from a non-recruitment background, the grad program taught me the recruitment process from A-Z.

Could you reflect on your achievements throughout the past year?

Tafara: It’s astonishing to see where I started and how far I have come. It has been an enjoyable process!

Kevin: I have received two promotions in my first year at PCN!

Are there any highlights or memories from the past year you’d like to mention?

Tafara: Probably making my first placement as well as all the great company parties that we have had!

Kevin: The highlights are endless. Numerous lunch clubs, team events & incentive trips. My favorite highlight was the ski-trip in Tignes, France!

To find out more about her past two years at the company, and learn about the grad program, we also spoke to Yan, who shared some interesting insights.

How was it to set up the grad program?

It was definitely challenging, stressful, and exciting at the same time – or how we’d like to word it: a – at some times bumpy – rollercoaster.

However, PCN has been training people since the beginning so we had a fair bit of trainings to go from.

What do you think about it now that it’s been a year since the launch of the program and two more intakes of graduates joining the company?

I think we have definitely professionalized ourselves and made it an even smoother process for the new grads, but all in all seeing how successful the first group of grads are now and how close they are make me a proud goose.

Do you have any plans for the future of the grad program?

I think there’s many more things we can develop and even automate, record and improve and with onboarding Galit – our L&D manager – I am sure there will be added even more great stuff.
