KEX – AI Exchange

On 23 June 2026, the KEX – AI Exchange will bring together over 300 decision-makers from the banking, payments, fintech, insurtech and tax sectors in Hamburg. The focus will not be on theoretical future scenarios, but on concrete applications of AI within the regulated financial sector – where systems are already in productive use and where responsibility, regulation and operations converge.

By 2026, AI will have long been part of operational processes: it assesses risks, detects fraud in real time, supports compliance processes, automates customer service and prepares decisions in the credit or payments sector. At the same time, requirements are increasing due to the EU AI Act, DORA and new regulatory guidelines concerning governance, explainability and control.

This is precisely where KEX comes in. The conference sees itself as an engine room rather than a stage: featuring real-world case studies, operational insights and discussions on what works reliably in day-to-day practice and what does not.

The programme ranges from agentic banking and agentic commerce, through fraud detection, AI governance and autonomous financial processes, to specific questions regarding liability, wallet mandates, prompt injection or the use of AI agents in the payment stack. The Main Stage is complemented by the Engine Room Labs, where participants work together on specific challenges – such as the EU AI Act, autonomous finance or business cases for AI projects.

In addition, there are formats such as the Prompt Garage, which offers ready-to-use GenAI applications for everyday work, and ‘CLYDE’, a human-AI loop that becomes part of the stage concept as an active participant in the discussion.
