INFORM Software Corporation Now Offering Parents Free Kids@Home Workbook Designed to Teach Children about Money, Fraud and Honesty

INFORM Software Corporation, a leading provider of AI-based optimization software that facilitates improved decision making, processes and resource management across diverse industries, recently announced a new Kids@Home Risk & Fraud Workbook specifically designed to teach children about fraud and honesty. The five-chapter workbook has, as its central character and narrator, Freddy the Financial Crime Fighter. After learning about the origins of money in Chapter 1 of the workbook, children can participate in various tasks and games which further teach the concept of money. There are math tasks, word search puzzles, and currency matching picture tasks. The intent is to make learning fun and engaging for children when at home, which has become commonplace in today’s pandemic environment.

According to INFORM Software Chief Operating Officer Justin Newell, “We realize many children have been at home remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to give parents a fun way to help their children build important learning skills and core values, which is the goal of our Risk and Fraud Freddy the Financial Crime Fighter workbook.”

With a basic foundation of how money originated learned in Chapter 1 of the workbook, children can move onto Chapter 2 where they learn that honesty is the best policy. They are challenged to answer questions about various acts and whether they are honest or dishonest. There is also a “connect the dots” illustration and a writing task to see how much a child understands about honesty. In Chapter 3, kids learn about different aspects of fraud such as phishing attacks and credit card fraud. Freddy takes the workbook participant on a fraud fighting journey with him in Chapter 4 where children learn about different bank, insurance, and telecommunications frauds through a maze puzzle, true or false quizzes, and a coloring challenge that uses math tasks to determine what color goes in which spots on the drawing.

After learning about fraud and honesty by completing the tasks in the INFORM Kids@Home Risk & Fraud Workbook, children “officially” become part of Freddy’s Financial Crime Fighting Team. They receive a special badge which they can first color and then cut out and wear proudly.
