About the Client
Our client, the payments division of a major European mobility group, is driving the transition toward efficient and sustainable transport. With a presence in more than 50 countries and a workforce of around 2,400 people, the company offers a dynamic and agile environment where you can help shape the future of digital payments in mobility.

What You Will Do

  • Take an active role in shaping a portfolio of payment solutions, including cards (credit, debit, prepaid), mobile payment services, apps, and KYC/AML processes, within a regulated payments institution under the German Payment Services Act (ZAG).

  • Conduct market research, assess new business opportunities, and design innovative product concepts aligned with regulatory, compliance, and IT security requirements.

  • Contribute to strategic market positioning and support both strategic and operational product performance management.

  • Coordinate agile product development processes across payment technologies such as APIs, card platforms, and compliance tools.

  • Drive the strategic development and regulatory implementation of new products in line with BaFin, DBB, and EBA requirements.

  • Lead product launches and enhancements in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders within the ZAG-regulated environment.

  • Collaborate closely with departments across the wider mobility group and external partners to ensure successful delivery and monitoring of payment solutions.

What You Bring

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management for digital payment services, ideally gained in a ZAG institution, e-money provider, or FinTech.

  • Solid knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as ZAG-MaRisk, ZAIT, DORA, and PSD2.

  • Proven expertise in agile product development and managing digital financial products.

  • Strong analytical ability with experience in building business cases, setting KPIs, and preparing decision-making materials.

  • High initiative, accountability, and the ability to oversee complex projects and processes.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to translate compliance, IT security, and legal requirements into product specifications.

  • Familiarity with payment platforms, API integrations, chip card technology, compliance tools, and IT security practices.

  • Strong project management skills, ideally in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Very good written and spoken German and English.
