Product Management Lead, Consumer Journeys

Our client is a European BNPL and receivables services provider scaling internationally. With a B2B-centric model and high-intensity consumer interactions, they’re modernizing their digital consumer domain and seeking a Product Management Lead to own end-to-end consumer journeys across web, app, and automated channels. The business operates across regulated markets, partners with major enterprises, and is in an active shift from feature delivery to discovery-driven product development.

As a Product Management Lead, you will:

  • Own strategy and execution for all digital consumer/debtor touchpoints (portal, app, voice/IVR)
  • Lead and develop a team of ~6 PMs/POs; elevate discovery practices and delivery quality
  • Define, prioritize, and optimize four core journeys: understanding obligations, payments, disputes, and long-term support products
  • Drive a 40% strategy / 60% operations balance: discovery, metrics, and hands-on delivery
  • Partner with engineering and architecture on scalable solutions across legacy and modern stacks
  • Navigate regulatory and legal workflows (e.g., dunning, court orders, bailiffs) with compliance and operations
  • Improve conversion, activation, and CSAT through rigorous journey mapping, experimentation, and data
  • Collaborate with finance-oriented B2B stakeholders while advocating for consumer-centric outcomes
  • Contribute to org design and product ways of working during an ongoing transformation

Qualifications/Required Skills:

  • 5+ years in product management with demonstrable impact; experience leading PMs/POs
  • Expert in discovery methods and consumer journey mapping; outcome and metric driven
  • Strong technical fluency; experienced partnering with architects/engineering on complex systems
  • Proven work within regulated or finance-adjacent environments; comfortable with legal/process constraints
  • Background in e-commerce/checkout optimization, platforms, or marketplaces is a strong plus
  • Hands-on builder mindset; effective in mixed legacy/new environments and non-“product-led growth” contexts
  • Excellent stakeholder management with finance/B2B counterparts; clear, concise communication
  • Preference for Berlin-based (or willing to relocate); hybrid model with periodic travel
  • Growth mindset and high integrity; hires and develops “substance over shine”
