Our client is a global technology organization dedicated to transforming how money moves across borders. Their mission is to provide fast, affordable, and seamless international payment solutions for individuals and businesses. By leveraging advanced technology, they are building a new global financial network to simplify money management for everyone, everywhere.

They are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to join their North American team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering world-class API payment solutions to banks leveraging their cutting-edge payments infrastructure.

Collaborating with global teams, you’ll focus on driving partnerships with tier 1 banks. Your expertise will help propel their partnerships to new heights and expand their footprint in North America.

Our client has partnered with close to 100 banks and financial platforms such as Morgan Stanley and Standard Chartered. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, negotiate, and close a robust pipeline of banking partnerships across North America.
  • Develop strategies to drive product innovation, revenue growth, and volume expansion.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, contributing to informed strategic decision-making.
  • Lead initiatives to iterate product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and go-to-market efforts to align with business goals.
  • Represent our client and their platform at industry events and conferences, positioning them as a leader in enterprise payments solutions.

About You

  • At least 8 years of experience in payments, with a strong focus on international payments for banks and financial institutions in North America.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful business strategies, driving significant revenue growth with tier 1 banks.
  • Familiarity with financial services and regulatory landscapes in North America, particularly concerning spend management, workforce platforms, and marketplaces.
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to establish ideal terms while maintaining a clear vision for product and operational requirements.
  • Hands-on and proactive approach to business development, capable of independently managing discussions and building a strong pipeline.
  • Comfortable with technical discussions, helping partners design optimal solutions, as well as negotiating commercial and legal terms.
