Kevin raises $65m in series A funding, Microsoft launches new cybersecurity services and Instagram plans to start testing NFTs

Kevin, the Lithuanian payments fintech startup, raises $65m in its series A funding round led by Accel, with participation from Eurazeo and all existing investors, including OTB Ventures, Speedinvest, Open Ocean, and Global Paytech Ventures. 

Egyptian fintech Paymob scores one of the largest funding deals within the region, raising $50m in series B led by Paypal Ventures, Kora Capital, and Clay Point. 

Microsoft launches new cybersecurity services to assist customers in combating ransomware and other threats. This investment in cybersecurity comes as businesses increase their security spending to combat the growing threat of ransomware attacks and network hacks.

Instagram announces plans to start testing NFTs this week. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has confirmed that the company is testing NFTs on the platform, and planning to introduce a  “similar functionality” to Facebook soon. Twitter introduced NFTs as hexagon-shaped profile pictures earlier in January.
