2. Payone (12%)

Payone is a leading payment service provider in Germany and Austria. The company enables its partners to receive payments by all major payment methods, credit and debit cards, as well as contactless transactions via smartphone, tablet, or smartwatch.

3. Klarna (-13%)

Since 2005 Klarna has been on a mission to revolutionize the retail banking industry. The buy now pay later company aims to become the world’s favorite way to shop and bring flexible healthy financial services to consumers.

4. Worldline (7%)

Worldline is a global leader in secure payments and trusted transactions. As a pioneer in its industry, the company aims to make digital payments and transactional solutions environmentally friendly and widely accessible.

The company has received the Bronze Award for commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace on the Stonewall Workplace Equality Index 2022.

In terms of cities, the top fintech hubs in Germany are Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt in order. The most sought-after professions are mainly software engineering, product and commercial roles.

The gender distribution of the new hires is 34% female and 66% male. This data shows that the efforts at closing the gender gap are unfortunately inadequate and the lack of diversity in the market continues to be an issue.

Hiring for fintech roles requires unique skill sets. Despite recent layoffs, all these companies are still hiring and the market keeps growing. If you want more hiring insights, follow us on LinkedIn and subscribe to our weekly newsletter!
