Meet Keith – Digital Source Internal Interview

Our DS team is growing, and with that comes a new internal interview! To kickstart the month of July, we checked in with Keith Hudson — our new Managing Director and recent addition to the Netherlands. Read ahead, as we talk about his experience working in Japan, what continues to surprise him about recruitment and the one meal he’s happy eating for the rest of his life. Check out our chat below! 

Hi Keith, where are you from?

Hello Hello! I’m from Dublin, Ireland. Nice little area in South Dublin (when it’s sunny).

Where did you work before joining Digital Source?

I worked with Robert Half in Tokyo for 9 years focusing on finance and tech recruitment.

You lived and worked in Japan, what do you miss most about the experience?

I miss the experience! Going to a new country and starting your career is an experience in itself. 

With a decade of recruitment experience, what’s something that has surprised you most about your chosen career path?

Some processes can be the same, but with every person it’s a different experience. Its always nice to keep being surprised in your job each time you help someone new. 

Can you sum up your first month at DS in 3 words? 

Something new everyday!

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to grow up haha.

Name one thing you’re willing to spend more money on to make sure you get the best quality.

Tough question. So many things. Lockdown has forced me to look at this in a very different way. Ask me again in a year 🙂

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Eating amazing sushi is something that I’ll always miss but you can’t beat a homemade sandwich sometimes. 😛
