Job Description
As a Presales Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for helping our sales team prepare and present solutions to our prospective clients to progress on their payments journey. The bank orchestration platform sits at the intersection of the bank’s payment and internal systems, and each project requires dedicated solutions engineering to realize the value of the platform and accelerate go-live. You will be working with every type of fintech company, from small startups to large banks, while applying your banking and fintech knowledge to help our customers design the next generation of financial services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Product demonstrations – Closely interact with prospects as well as existing customers to deeply understand their needs and conduct product demonstrations to present their solutions
- Technical and functional presentations – Understand the solutionl from a technical and functional perspective and how to present this information from the perspective of prospective clients
- Target state solution workshops – Work with sales and prospective customers to understand their target payment state and understand where our solution would fit into the client’s overall solution
- Solutions design – Design custom solutions leveraging our client’s platform and its software and banking partners to create value for our prospects and customers in innovative ways
- Assist with requests for information and proposals (RFIs / RFPs) – Use your
- in-depth knowledge of the product, in addition to its application to business problems, to provide best-in-class answers to incoming RFPs
- Handover with implementation – Handover new projects to the implementation team as well as coordinate with product management on any new features, changes, or enhancements
- Support product and marketing – Provide assistance to generate insights and create content, including demo videos, sales demo environments, case studies, blog posts and other collateral
Your profile
- Excellent academic and professional background – You graduated from a tier-1 business or engineering school and have 5-7 years of experience in previous solutions engineering role or IT consulting.
- Banking and fintech knowledge – You have banking and/or payments knowledge that you can leverage to support our prospects
- Strategic thinker – You can break down a complex integration project into its multiple parts and identify the few project bottlenecks quickly
- Curious and fast learner – You learn very fast and like to understand how things work in depth. Ideally, you are passionate about payments
- Detail-oriented – You take energy in figuring out the technical details of complex system setups and preparing their implementations in an accelerated manner
- Simplification – While your solutions are highly technical, you have the ability to communicate to any stakeholders in a simple manner
- Influential and persuasive – You are good at navigating an organization to influence technical decisions with our prospect’s implementation teams
