Senior Account Executive


For a Spain based position at a Fintech company, offering an embedded finance platform which enables its customers to integrate banking services into its products, we are looking for a Senior Account Executive.


The Job


Our client is looking for a Senior Account Executive to hunt, convince and sign numerous new customers in the upcoming years. Ideally based in Barcelona, you’ll be in charge of developing our clients’ presence in Spain and Portugal.

Even though your core role will consist in selling the clients’ products, they are not looking for the classic sales person! This is a key role that will give you the opportunity to shape the future sales organization for our client.

Of course, our client is looking for someone with a strong business acumen, willing to ensure business growth over the long-term and excited by the challenges of selling. But also a strategic thinker, able to understand the customers’ needs and perform consultative sales is required. Furthermore, a team player mentality, curiosity and willingness to learn are greatly valued.  Lastly, you will ensure that the roadmap entails the main requests of top prospects, and to constantly improve the clients’ onboarding processes are required. 




  • Be accountable for increasing revenue and new client acquisition at high rates of growth

  • Develop a consultative and solution-based sales approach to answer our customers needs

  • Help to define the clients’  sales playbook

  • Attend industry events to meet new prospects and spot new opportunities for our client 

  • Build the clients’ offer to tackle new verticals

  • Effectively work cross-functionally across the organization to shape the clients’ solutions to meet customer needs


Required Skills


  • 3/4+ years of sales experience, preferably selling a technical product in a start-up / scale-up

  • A good understanding of the Fintech ecosystem is a plus

  • Previous experience in an international / European environment

  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and in English

  • Passion for startups and new technology businesses

  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent team player and fun to work with

  • Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms
