Head of Solutions Engineering

About the Role
Solutions Engineering is a post-sales function, focused on working with integration partners to ensure the successful launch of products built on our services. This includes providing technical consulting, designing tailored solutions to fit partner needs, and working closely with internal teams to influence product development.
We are expanding the Solutions Engineering function globally and seeking a leader to continue building the team in North America. This person will work across partners, their own team, the platform organization, and the wider business to maximize impact.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Solutions Engineering team (4 engineers).

Define clear, measurable goals aligned with platform objectives and support the team in achieving them.

Provide feedback and guidance to help the team make data-driven decisions.

Oversee regional plans, opportunities, and challenges, contributing directly to decision-making alongside Delivery and Commercial leads.

Ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and scalable technical solutions to partners.

Collaborate closely with Product Engineering teams to influence product development in line with partner needs.
Qualifications

Proven experience building, leading, and mentoring high-performing Solutions Engineering teams (4+ members).

Hands-on experience working with external partners to deliver technical projects, especially REST API integrations.

Strong background in building scalable, high-performing systems within microservice architectures.

Deep knowledge of API design and standards (RESTful principles, OpenAPI, OAuth2, versioning, etc.).

Strong product mindset, with the ability to guide others in making thoughtful decisions and trade-offs.

Track record of delivering complex, high-impact solutions to partners or clients.

Experience managing client relationships, setting accurate expectations, and leading complex technical projects.
Nice to Have

Background in the payments or fintech industry.

Experience across multiple technology stacks and frameworks.

Experience collaborating with large, incumbent enterprise partners (e.g., banks or financial institutions).
