5 Key Roles in Salesforce

Is Salesforce worth its price? Although the leading CRM platform is an all-in-one solution that  manages everything, it is not an easy tool to manage. The platform covers its costs only if you hire the right talent who can optimize the services and benefits it provides you with.

As the platform continually enhances its product offerings through innovation and acquisitions, the roles and responsibilities within the Salesforce landscape are in a constant state of evolution. IDC predicts the creation of 4.2 million new jobs by 2024. Here are the 5 key roles that are crucial for your company’s growth and expected to be high on demand in the following period.

1. Salesforce Administrator

A Salesforce Administrator resolves business issues by customizing the Salesforce Platform. They construct, configure, and automate technology solutions to deliver business value. Salesforce Administrators collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and tailor the platform. Most notably, they empower users to fully leverage Salesforce technology.

2. Salesforce Business Analyst

Business Analysts primarily concentrate on enhancing business operations and achieving project goals. They play a pivotal role in guiding organizations toward process improvements and heightened efficiency by providing actionable recommendations. Additionally, they serve as intermediaries between IT and business stakeholders, facilitating effective collaboration to achieve the best possible results.

3. Salesforce Functional Consultant

Salesforce Functional Consultants, similar to Salesforce Business Analysts but more technically hands-on, leverage their deep understanding of the Salesforce platform. They can come from various backgrounds, including transitioning from Salesforce Administration. These consultants work on complex Salesforce implementations, adapting to different client projects across diverse industries, and acting as intermediaries between clients and technical teams, often with expertise in multiple Salesforce products or specialized areas like CPQ.

4. Salesforce Developer

The majority of developers working with Salesforce technologies are engaged in creating customized business applications and solutions. They accomplish this using either the Salesforce Platform, encompassing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud communities, or the Heroku platform. While a few developers choose to specialize, most of them can be characterized as full-stack developers who handle both back-end logic and front-end user experiences.

5. Salesforce Architect

A Salesforce Architect plays a crucial role in designing and executing robust implementations for corporate-level clients utilizing Salesforce products. Their main duty involves suggesting the most suitable solution based on specific requirements and clearly explaining the pros and cons associated with selecting one solution over another.
