Android Developer (Kotlin) – Freelance (6 months, Amsterdam)

Location: Amsterdam, on-site 2+ days per week
Duration: ~6 months

About the Project:
Work on a high-profile Dutch banking project building secure and scalable Android applications. The role focuses on Kotlin development, UI, testing, and applying modern architecture patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin.

• Implement unit and UI testing to ensure code quality and reliability.

• Build custom UI components aligned with project and banking standards.

• Apply modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, modular architecture).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/SCRUM environment (2-week sprints).

• Ensure compliance with banking security and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong experience in Kotlin and Android app development.

• Solid knowledge of unit and UI testing frameworks.

• Experience with architecture patterns and modular app design.

• Strong fundamentals in software engineering and testing.

• Agile/SCRUM experience, strong teamwork, and communication skills.

• Master’s degree in IT or related field preferred.

• 1–10 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking or fintech.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience integrating Google Pay, Garmin Pay, or other mobile payment systems.
