(Senior) Growth Manager –Â Italy
Full-Time | Berlin | Sales & Business Development
About Our Client
Our client is an early-stage fintech built by a founding team with a proven track record –Â having previously scaled a European payments business to over 100 employees across 17 markets before a successful nine-figure exit. Now they are building again, and doing so with the same ambition.
The business operates a platform connecting prepaid product brands directly with enterprise clients –Â eliminating the layers of intermediaries that have historically made this space slow and expensive. Their product covers gift cards, airtime, and eCash under a single API. It is a large, under-appreciated market, and they are positioning themselves as the infrastructure layer that defines it.
They are a team of around 20 in Berlin, moving fast, and now looking to hire their first dedicated hire for the Italian market.
The Opportunity
This is a rare chance to enter a high-growth fintech at an early stage and own a market from day one. You will be the lead for Italian-speaking clients and the Italian market broadly, while also contributing to wider European partnership development.
The role sits close to the founding team. You will work directly with one of the founders on strategy, deal structuring, and commercial execution. For the right person, there is a clear path toward a Country Manager position as the business and the Italian market grow.
If you are energised by complex enterprise sales, long-term relationship building, and the idea of shaping a market from scratch –Â this is built for you.
What You Will Do
- Own the full business development cycle –Â from initial outreach through demos, negotiation, and close
- Build and manage a focused pipeline of high-value enterprise partnerships, targeting approximately 5–6 strategic deals per year
- Identify and engage partners with the potential to generate €10M+ in annual turnover per relationship
- Navigate complex B2B sales cycles of up to six months, managing multiple stakeholders across each opportunity
- Develop tailored commercial propositions aligned to partner needs across sectors including banking, retail, HR & payroll, crypto, and consumer brands
- Represent the business at industry events, partner meetings, and on-site visits across Europe –Â expect two to three trips per month
- Work closely with the founder on deal structuring and strategic commercial decisions
- Gather and feed back market intelligence to sharpen the company's partnership strategy and growth roadmap
About You
- Experienced in enterprise or strategic B2B sales, ideally within fintech, payments, or a related industry
- Comfortable managing long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with patience and discipline
- Commercially sharp — you can structure deals, negotiate confidently, and close with conviction
- Fluent in Italian and English to a professional business standard
- Resilient and self-motivated, with the persistence to push through extended cycles and repeated rejection without losing momentum
- Hungry to build — you are not looking to manage a mature playbook, you want to create one
- Highly organised and capable of operating independently in an early-stage environment
- A genuine relationship builder who wins trust through substance, not just charm
Why This Role
- Ground-floor opportunity with a founding team that has already delivered a nine-figure exit
- Direct exposure to founders and meaningful input into company strategy from day one
- A genuine path to Country Manager as the Italian market develops
- High ownership culture — your work will visibly shape the business
- A collaborative, low-ego team that ships fast and celebrates wins together
- Berlin base with regular European travel and strong team culture
