The opportunity
We’re partnering with a leading European technology provider delivering mission-critical software solutions to financial institutions. The business develops bespoke B2B platforms and next-generation systems used by banks, insurers, and pension providers, and is currently in a strong international growth phase.
Their Financial Technology division is a key strategic growth engine, and they are now looking for a senior enterprise sales leader to drive expansion across the German financial services market.
This is a highly entrepreneurial role with full ownership of complex enterprise deals and strong exposure to senior stakeholders across the financial services ecosystem.

Your role & impact
You will own the full sales lifecycle for complex software and digital transformation projects within the financial services sector, with a primary focus on Germany.
Key responsibilities

Own the end-to-end enterprise sales cycle for custom software and transformation projects — from opportunity qualification to deal closure

Generate new business through your network, strategic partners, and targeted outbound initiatives

Identify client pain points and position tailored technology solutions using domain expertise and case-based selling

Activate consulting firms and ecosystem partners as strategic sales channels

Collaborate closely with Key Account Management, Product, Strategy, Marketing, and Delivery to drive cross- and upsell opportunities

Lead proposal processes, coordinate pre-sales and delivery teams, and define project scope and effort estimates

Manage RFP/RFI processes, contract negotiations, and pricing discussions

Maintain transparent pipeline management, forecasting, and deal risk reporting to senior leadership
What we’re looking for
This role requires a senior enterprise seller with strong financial services expertise, market access, and a hands-on commercial mindset.
Required experience
-
8–10 years of enterprise sales experience in financial services technology or software solutions

Strong experience selling into banks or insurers, ideally within the German market

Proven track record closing complex software, IT transformation, or custom development projects

Strong negotiation skills and high deal-closing orientation

Established network within the financial services and consulting ecosystem

Experience managing RFP/RFI processes and coordinating cross-functional teams

Experience developing new markets and building opportunity pipelines from early-stage positioning

Fluent German and English

University degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field
Nice-to-have experience

Experience selling or delivering bespoke software solutions (digital platforms, integrations, cloud or API-based architectures)

Exposure to core banking vendors, system integrators, or specialised financial services technology providers

Understanding of procurement and tender processes within financial services

Existing relationships with consulting firms in the financial services sector
